The price and size of the 700 are small compared to other devices, such as CloudBook or Fujitsu Lifebook. Since October 13, 2007 ASUS has reviewed the specifications, and re-named the ASUS 700 product series as EeePC 8G, 4G, 4G Surf, and 2G Surf instead of the model numbers 700 and 701. The price of the 700 series is pretty cheap. Pricing for 2G is USD$299, for the 4G Surf USD$349, for the 4G USD$399, for the 8G USD$499. The ASUS Eee 900 Subnotebook Series was exhibited in Hong-Kong on April 16, 2008. The 900 series started selling in the UK May 1, 2008 for £329 (approximately USD$650) and on May 12, 2008 in the US for USD$549. The 900 series dimensions are a little bigger than the 70x models - measuring 225 × 165 × 35 mm (WxDxH), or 9 x 6.5x 1.37 inches, and weighs approximately 2.21 lbs.
